There is something very special about Celebration, Florida. Originally developed by The Walt Disney Company, Celebration has grown into one of Central Florida’s most distinctive communities, known for its beautiful architecture, picturesque streets, lakes, walking trails and welcoming town center.

Located just minutes from Walt Disney World, Celebration offers a lifestyle that can feel surprisingly removed from the activity of the surrounding tourist areas. Market Street and the town center provide restaurants, cafés, shops and local businesses, while the lakes, parks, boardwalks and miles of trails make it easy to enjoy the outdoors.

A Community Made for Exploring

One of my favorite things about Celebration is how much there is to discover on foot. Take a walk around the lake, explore the boardwalks and nature trails, stop for coffee or lunch downtown, or simply enjoy the different architectural styles as you travel through the community.

Celebration is made up of several distinct residential areas, and the homes are equally varied. You'll find charming condos and townhomes, traditional single-family residences, larger estate-style properties and some exceptional luxury homes.

For buyers, that variety makes understanding the community particularly important. Two homes may both have a Celebration address but offer very different locations, views, property styles, association considerations and proximity to the town center.

Living Close to Disney
For many people considering moving to Central Florida, Celebration's location is one of its biggest attractions. Walt Disney World is close by, while Orlando International Airport, major highways, shopping, dining and many of Central Florida's other attractions are also accessible.

But Celebration isn't simply about being close to Disney. It has developed its own identity, with community events, seasonal celebrations, a farmers market, restaurants and local businesses all contributing to the character of the town.

One of my favorite ways to experience Celebration is to leave the car behind and explore the community on foot. Celebration has an extensive network of walking and biking trails, including beautiful wooden boardwalks that wind through natural areas, wetlands and around the community’s lakes.

The boardwalks offer a completely different view of Celebration. Within minutes, you can go from the shops and restaurants of the town center to peaceful stretches surrounded by mature trees, water and native Florida scenery. They are wonderful places for a morning walk, an evening stroll or simply enjoying some time outdoors.

As you explore, you may also spot some of Florida’s local wildlife and birdlife. The combination of lakes, conservation areas, trails and boardwalks is part of what gives Celebration its distinctive character and provides a connection between many areas of the community.

For people considering buying a home in Celebration, I always recommend spending some time exploring beyond the main streets. Walk the trails, discover the boardwalks and see the different parts of the community for yourself. It is one of the best ways to understand what living in Celebration can really feel like.

Golf in and Around Celebration
For golf enthusiasts, Celebration offers an excellent Central Florida location, with a golf course right within the community and numerous additional courses within easy reach.

At the heart of the community is Celebration Golf Club, an 18-hole course designed by Robert Trent Jones Sr. and Robert Trent Jones Jr. The course incorporates Florida’s natural landscape, with lakes, wetlands and mature trees creating a beautiful setting just minutes from Downtown Celebration.

One of the things I particularly like about the golf course is how naturally it fits into the Celebration landscape. As you travel through the community, you'll see homes positioned around areas of the course, giving parts of Celebration a very different atmosphere from the town center and village neighborhoods.

Celebration is also well positioned for golfers who enjoy variety. The greater Disney and Orlando area offers an impressive selection of courses, including Disney golf courses, resort courses and private golf clubs. This gives residents the opportunity to experience a range of courses without having to travel far from home.

For buyers who enjoy golf, location can become an important part of the property search. Whether you're interested in a home with a golf course outlook, want convenient access to a favorite course or simply enjoy having plenty of golfing options nearby, it is worth considering this when deciding where to buy.

And even if you don't play golf, the beautifully maintained green spaces surrounding the course contribute to the scenery and character of this part of Celebration.

Community Events in Celebration
One of the things that gives Celebration its distinctive character is the variety of community events held throughout the year. From seasonal celebrations and outdoor gatherings to markets, arts, entertainment and local activities, there is often something happening around town.

Downtown Celebration and the surrounding community provide the setting for many popular events throughout the year. Depending on the season, you may find live music, art events, holiday celebrations, food and drink events, family activities and special community gatherings.

The Celebration Farmers Market is also a familiar part of the local scene, bringing vendors into the heart of town and providing another reason to spend a leisurely morning exploring Downtown Celebration.

The holidays are an especially memorable time in Celebration. The town becomes beautifully decorated, and seasonal events and festivities bring additional activity to Market Street and the downtown area. It is a wonderful time simply to walk around the lake, enjoy the decorations and experience a different side of the community.

Throughout the year, you'll also find events organized by local businesses, community organizations and venues around Celebration. From art and food to music and outdoor activities, these smaller events are an important part of the town's personality.

Celebration really comes to life during the fall and holiday seasons, when community events, seasonal traditions and beautifully decorated homes add another dimension to the town.

Oktoberfest is one of Celebration’s popular fall traditions, bringing people into the downtown area for a lively seasonal celebration. With entertainment and activities taking place around the heart of Celebration, it is a wonderful opportunity to enjoy the atmosphere of the town and spend time exploring Market Street and the lakefront.

Then comes Halloween, and Celebration certainly knows how to embrace it! Throughout the community, you'll find homes transformed with pumpkins, lights, spooky characters and some incredibly creative displays. Some homeowners take decorating to another level, making an evening drive or walk through Celebration during October an experience in itself.

And then there is Christmas in Celebration.

The town takes on a completely different personality for the holidays. Downtown Celebration becomes beautifully festive with lights, decorations and seasonal entertainment, including the much-loved Now Snowing experience on Market Street.

But don't stop at Downtown Celebration. One of my favorite parts of the holiday season is seeing the homes throughout the community. Residents create some spectacular Christmas displays, with beautifully illuminated houses, decorated porches, trees, wreaths and imaginative decorations. Some streets and homes become destinations in their own right, and simply driving or walking around to see the displays can become part of the holiday tradition.

From Oktoberfest and Halloween to the magic of Christmas, Celebration's seasonal events and decorated homes are part of what makes exploring the community so enjoyable.

If you're thinking about moving to Celebration, I always recommend experiencing the town at different times of the year. Come for an event, walk through Downtown Celebration, explore the neighborhoods and see the community beyond the homes for sale.

Celebration isn't simply a place to search for a home—it is a community to discover.

For me, these events are also a great opportunity to support and get to know the local businesses and people who make Celebration what it is.

When you're considering buying a home here, I believe it's important to experience more than the properties. Spend some time downtown, walk the trails and boardwalks, visit the local businesses and, if you can, experience one of Celebration's community events.

That's when you begin to discover what living in Celebration is really about.

Buying a Home in Celebration
If you're considering buying a home in Celebration, I recommend looking beyond photographs and square footage.

Where is the home located within Celebration? Is being able to walk to downtown important to you? Would you prefer a conservation or water view? Are you looking for a condo, townhome or single-family residence? How much maintenance do you want? Are there particular property features that are important to you?

Those conversations help me narrow the search to properties that genuinely suit what you're looking for rather than simply sending you every new listing that appears.

Selling a Home in Celebration
Selling in Celebration also requires understanding what makes an individual property stand out.

The location within the community, architectural style, condition, updates, view, outdoor space and proximity to Celebration amenities can all influence how buyers perceive a home. My approach is to identify those individual selling points and create marketing that tells the story of the property rather than relying solely on an MLS listing.
